Free Soil Lead Screening

Bring your soil to ACCD and the Forest Hills Environmental Advisory Council to have it tested for lead and arsenic, free of charge. These two contaminants are common in Urban Areas, and bad for human health, so it's always good to check the soil in your yard and garden areas to be safe. Drop off one or more soil samples (approx. 1/2/ cup, dry and crumbled up) in clear plastic Ziploc bags at the start of the event. More than 1 sample is ok! Staff will test your soil while giving a presentation on the common characteristics of and contaminants in urban soils. Attendees will receive their results and information on soil lead at the end of the talk and discussion. More info:
